“Nothing compares to Circoloco – a beacon of the hedonistic party ethos of Ibiza” – Vice Magazine

“Let’s be honest, Circoloco is one of the best parties in Ibiza, and possibly on the planet. The brand has always stood for cutting-edge, even knife-edge music.” – Damian Lazarus

Sparking a clubbing revolution after its genesis in Ibiza nearly 20 years ago, Circoloco became a must-do of any Ibiza visit, taking up multiple residencies around the world, and becoming one of the foremost temples of dance music culture. Their branding is known near and far – the ubiquitous Crazy Clown face has travelled around the world, becoming a symbol for the underground spirit of dance music culture.

This 2018, Circoloco, will premiere its very own arena of international talent at Australian national boutique electronic festival Electric Gardens. The Circoloco stage at the Centennial Park event in Sydney on January 27, will mark the first time ever that Circoloco has teamed up with an Australian music festival.

Prior to this, two huge Circoloco events will take place at the stunning open-air location of Red Hill Auditorium in Perth, on January 26, and Melbourne, on January 25 (at a still-to-be-disclosed Melbourne location). Says festival organizer Damian Gelle of the partnership: “Circoloco has been the leading tech underground brand in the world for close to 19 years, and the brand has never appeared at an Australian festival before – this is a huge and really special announcement for us.”

Electric Gardeners are advised to stay tuned later this week, with the Sydney event set to unveil another giant stage of talent, featuring a line-up of all-Australian artists.

DUBFIRE

Headlining the Sydney event will be a name that’s written in techno folklore – the Grammy-award winning artist DUBFIRE. Without question, Dubfire stole hearts and conquered minds in Australia when he closed the Code Stage at Electric Gardens in January last year, and Electric Gardens fans are sure to welcome this huge talent back for round two with open arms. Initially a part of the super-group Deep Dish but long since a bona fide solo superstar, Dubfire has dominated both the global stage and taken the underground scene by storm with his deep, dark, meaningful electronic music – and nobody can compete with Dubfire’s superb ability to read a crowd from behind the mixer.

NICOLE MOUDEBAR

Techno powerhouse NICOLE MOUDEBAR’s talent has taken her from outdoor raves in her native Lebanon, to huge shows all over the world – London/Berlin/Ibiza/New York/Buenos Aires and everywhere in between. Named by Carl Cox as one of the ‘the most underrated DJs in the world’, Moudebar’s rebellious, worldly house and techno sets, always get the crowd raving with reckless abandon.

APOLLONIA

Known for their marathon sets and mesmerising house music, welcome APOLLONIA to the Circoloco stage. From Panaroma to EXIT Festival to Miami, the house music trio DJ together for extended sets, following a strict one-record-each concept for the full duration of the show. They’ve brought their back2back2back spectaculaire to some of the most infamous festivals around the world, including DC10 Ibiza, Panorama Bar Berlin, BPM Festival Playa Del Carmen, Fabric London, and now… Circoloco x Electric Gardens!

ART DEPARTMENT

From EDC, to Tomorrowland, to Australia –  ART DEPARTMENT are regarded internationally as one of the most forward-thinking, relevant underground producers to come out of North America. AD is the partnership of Canadian techno/house legends Kenny Glasgow and Jonny White, the latter whose well-revered No.19 Music label has outputted a discography that’s seen White rapidly rise to the forefront of the international scene as a label boss. The duo’s blistering take on techno is futuristic, raw, and synth-driven; and has been heard in collaborations with Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Soul Clap and more.

Throughout Circoloco’s infamous run at influential nightclub DC10 in Ibiza, CLIVE HENRY was a long-running resident, bringing his upfront mix of house and techno to a string of Circoloco seasons. The world-beating underground house music champ, who most dance music fans know as one half of Peace Division, comes to Australia to get the Circoloco party bouncing in the way only he knows how!
